Matthew Weichel grew up in the game with TYLA before it took him around the world. Over the past eight-plus years he has coached in North Carolina, California, and Switzerland, building a coaching résumé as international as his playing one and developing players at every level along the way.
Today Matt is a coach for the U20 Swiss National Team and plays club lacrosse for the Zürich Lions. He's a current champion on multiple fronts — NC Fusion, Swiss 6's, and Swiss Field Lacrosse — proof that the fundamentals travel just as well as he does.
Off the field, Matt is the digital, media, and treasury admin for The Drew League, running the league's website and online presence while living and coaching abroad. When he isn't building websites or on a lacrosse field, he's traveling — a devoted advocate for using the game to see the world and make friends everywhere the sport is played.
