Privacy Policy
Effective July 6, 2026
The Drew League is a 501(c)(3) youth lacrosse nonprofit in the Triad, North Carolina. This policy covers the-drew.com and the Drew League iOS app. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the league, we never sell your data, and we use no advertising or third-party analytics of any kind.
What we collect
- Your account — name, email address, and phone number, used to sign you in and contact you about the league.
- Your player's registration — your child's name, date of birth, grade, emergency contact, and any medical or allergy notes you choose to provide. Parents and guardians enter this information themselves; children never use our website or app directly.
- Photos — game-day photos taken by league photographers and shown in the season gallery, and any images you submit (for example, financial-aid documentation, which is deleted once a decision is made).
- Purchases — records of registration fees and orders. Card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
- Signed documents — waivers and participation agreements you sign during registration, kept as required records.
- Device push tokens — if you enable notifications in the iOS app, an anonymous Apple push token so we can send you schedule changes and league alerts. You can turn these off anytime in Settings.
What we don't do
- No advertising, ad networks, or tracking of any kind.
- No third-party analytics SDKs in the app.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your family's data for marketing.
Children's privacy
Accounts belong to parents, guardians, coaches, and league staff — not children. All information about a player is provided by that player's own parent or guardian during registration, which is how we obtain parental consent for collecting it. We use player information solely to run the league: rosters, team placement, safety on the sideline, and season records. If you believe we hold information about a child without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Who processes data for us
We use a small set of service providers, each only for its narrow job: Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Neon (database hosting), Cloudflare (photo storage), Resend (transactional email), and Apple (push notifications). None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Retention & deleting your account
We keep registration and roster data for the seasons your player participates in. You can delete your account in the iOS app under Settings, or by emailing us. Deletion removes your account and personal data; financial records we're required to keep (payments, refunds) are anonymized rather than deleted.
